Beam 398B Central Vacuum with Hide-A-Hose Retractable Hose

KEY FEATURE:

With Beam’s largest motor at 680 air watts, you can easily install this into a home or workplace up to 12,000 square feet in size. A 7.2″ wide motor with dual fans has the most power in Beam’s vacuum selection, and since 2019 the unit has been manufactured in Canada. This makes it the ideal choice for large homes or smaller homes but will be used daily because the larger motor offers a longer lifespan than traditional motors. All Beam Classic and Serenity models have soft start motors which help prevent premature wear as they start with ease. An extra large bagless 25-litre dirt receptacle has clamp connections for a tighter, more secure, seal. Embedded in the receptacle is Alphasan, an antibacterial agent designed to minimize odors.

Like all Beam Central Vacuum Power Units this model carries a lifetime warranty on its permanent filter. Yes, no more replacing or having to clean dirty vacuum filters. This is only possible because of the Gore Technologies™ HEPA CleanStream™ filter. From the developers of Gore Tex™, this filter is designed to maintain proper airflow throughout its lifetime. For convenience, there is a utility inlet built right into the front of the canister. This makes it easy to plug right into the can for cleaning out the car or truck if the vacuum is installed in the garage.

HOSE FEATURE:

Rapid Flex hoses offer several benefits over traditional hose kits. Firstly, these hoses are designed to pull out more easily and retract faster, making them a more efficient and user-friendly cleaning solution. This means you can quickly and easily start your cleaning tasks without struggling with a tangled or difficult to manage hose.

In addition to being easier to use, Rapid Flex hoses are also a larger diameter than many standard hose kits. This larger diameter increases the airflow by 20-30%, resulting in more powerful suction and improved cleaning performance. This is particularly important for cleaning carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces that require strong suction power to remove dirt, dust, and debris effectively.

Our new Rapid Flex hoses feature the mini-cuff, which allows tools to fit directly onto the hose cuff for easier use.

Its feature to automatically retract into the wall after use can not only eliminate the need to store or handle a long, bulky hose but also save valuable storage space.

The hose is made of a flexible material that can bend and turn around corners, making it easy to clean hard-to-reach areas.

Hose lengths can be customized to fit the homeowner’s needs. Trim the desired length from the end of the hose that goes in the valve first, then replace the end cap into the trimmed end.

BEAM SERENITY 398 CENTRAL VACUUM SYSTEM

Beam vacuums were being manufactured by Beam Manufacturing Company since the 1950s. In 1957, Beam Manufacturing Company was sold and Beam Industries was formed led by R.L. Sampson. With the emergence of Beam Industries, the primary focus was diverted to central vacuum systems. John Coghlan after his career with Beam Industries for 18 years as the President retired in March 2006. During his time, he ensured that Beam Industries reach the pinnacle of success in the central vacuum industry using advanced technology.

In June 2006, Russell S. Minick took over the Beam Industries as the President and since then the company has created higher standards for central vacuum systems in the US. Their primary goal is to capture 75 percent of new U.S. homes by 2016 and to grow consistently in Canada as well as internationally. Beam Industries reached a milestone on January 1, 2007, as they became known as Electrolux Central Vacuum Systems. Now Beam industries are marketing central vacuum systems of Beam, Electrolux, and Eureka.

There are different types of central vacuum systems offered by Beam but the most popular model is the Serenity IQS.

HOW A CENTRAL VACUUM WORKS

BEAM Central Vacuum Systems use specifically designed tubing installed in the walls of your home to carry 100% of the contacted dirt, dust and allergens away from your living area to the central power unit commonly located in the garage, utility room or basement.

To activate the system, simply insert the lightweight hose into a central vacuum wall inlet valve. Most homes will typically have one central vacuum inlet valve per floor averaging three per house. The flexible lightweight hose and inlet system allow you to easily move from room to room without having to push a heavy upright vacuum or pull canister vacuum behind commonly bumping into walls or valuable furniture.

BEAM Central Vacuum Systems are much quieter than most portable vacuums as the power unit of a central vacuum is located outside of the living, where the motor of a portable vacuum is in the same room you clean.

1. Tubing installed through interior walls, attic, basement and crawlspaces connects vacuum inlets to the power unit.

2. Each strategically located inlet valve lets you vacuum approximately 700-800 square feet.

3. The power unit is located away from the living area, usually in a basement, garage or ventilated utility room.

4. Innovative accessories like the VacPan can be incorporated into the system for additional cleaning ease.

5. A variety of cleaning attachments such as a crevice tool, a dusting tool and the fabric tool allows you to vacuum any type of surface.

6. Exhausted to the outside or through a HEPA filter system to leave you nothing but clean indoor air.
